Dedicating a Week for Lead Safety
Starting on Oct 22nd, the Trump administration announced National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week to highlight tools, products, and resources to assist partners at all levels in educating their communities about reducing lead hazards. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson, and (EPA) Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler are co-chairing the event to implement Trumps vision of reducing lead poisoning across the U.S. HUD and EPA rules and regulations are already in place, however education is a never-ending endeavor.
